Primary school After School Art Clubs
We have after school clubs twice a week at Ditchling school on a Tuesday and Friday, Wednesdays we are at Albourne and Hurstpierpoint primary schools. Our clubs provide a calm space to wind down after a busy day in school. Our focus is on creative freedom with lots of art supplies and limitless paper to use as you wish. We bring weekly inspiration and our experienced team are on hand to support. Our club gives young artists the opportunity to connect with other creatives, practice fine motor skills, improve confidence through problem solving and follow their own artistic pathway.
£13.50per 1hr and 15mins session booked termly, monthly payment plan available through subscriptions. We also have PAYG (pay as you go) spaces for £15 a session that can be booked if a club has room.

FAQ
-
Please send your child/ren with an old tshirt or cover up to cover their uniform and a nut free snack if they are very hungry after school
-
Our club is less focussed on learning outcomes and creative progress, we are more focussed on the space to be yourself and the freedom and the learning that comes without prescriptive lessons. There are plenty of art clubs that offer lessons, studying artists and techniques. We do things differently. We see SO MUCH progress in fine motor skills, confidence, colour mixing, constructive decision making, connection with others, being able to take direction, overcoming a disaster and that we don’t always love what we have done, but when we do, its a great feeling!
-
Our clubs are popular with young people that need a less demanding environment. We cannot offer a 1:1, but our adult to child ration is 1:8 and if we go over 16 children we also have a junior from a local secondary school. We are experienced with SEND, but cannot accommodate children who struggle socially, are aggressive or need to run around after school. Movement breaks are fine and many children stand up to do their art

We take safeguarding seriously and every team member has completed child protection and safeguarding training with NSPCC. We all have enhanced DBS checks and are on the update service. Our club leaders have all completed paediatric first aid and we have a behaviour and safeguarding policy that goes to every parent that books a session with us. Love Art Studios is fully insured.

We are not able to provide personal care for children, our staff ratios need to allow enough team members to be with the group at all times for safeguarding
