Care Home Creative Sessions
We provide art sessions to care homes across Sussex, giving older people the chance to relax through painting and crafting and new for 2026 we are launching knitting circles. We provide all of the art materials and an experienced session leader who can take up to a group of 12. We support attendees create wonderful art and connect with each other. Sessions are between 1-1.5hrs and we have various days available. The idea with the knitting circles is to knit with purpose, for local charities and people in need.

Our team are multi-skilled and can offer a wide range of creative sessions, here is an idea of what you could do with us:
Watercolour landscapes, animals, botanical
Mixed media with watercolour, crayons, gouache, pens & inks for any topic, could be florals, animals, buildings, portraits
Knitting, weaving, crochet & macrame
Drawing with pencils, pens & inks, from photos or from life
Abstract landscapes with mixed media, including pastels and crayons

You would need a table big enough for your group size, with good natural light and either a sink or jugs of water for washing brushes if we are painting.
We provide table coverings.

We start with 3 × 90miins sessions at £90 to give residents and team members a feel for the sessions and see how they work.
Ongoing sessions after the introductory sessions:

Yes, we work in 4 care homes in Sussex and each individual resident brings different needs. We are experienced with dementia, visual and hearing impairments and understand that gentler reminders and encouragement are needed.

We can have a group up to 12, we ask for a lifestyles coordinator or carer to be with us in case anyone needs a 1:1 or needs the bathroom.

Yes we do, we have a number of different kits, like watercolour or acrylics and can use mixed media to get the best effect.

Ginny Baxter
Ginny is an experienced textile designer and expert draftswoman with deep love for sharing her creativity. As one of our Club Leaders, she brings warmth, humour and exceptional skill to every session. Ginny is experienced with adults and older people too, where her gentle guidance and eye for detail help build confidence and joy in creative expression. Whether you are exploring drawing techniques or experimenting with mixed media, Ginny’s sessions are a welcoming space to learn, connect and be inspired.

Juliette Rajak
Juliette oversees several of our care home sessions. She is a bubbly, compassionate arts facilitator with extensive experience in dementia-friendly practice. With a background in illustration and art direction, Juliette brings creativity, calm and gentle encouragement to every session. She has specialist dementia training, an art therapy foundation and many years’ experience leading inclusive art workshops in care homes, community settings and schools. Her approachable style helps participants feel supported, confident and engaged.

Chris Judge
Art Club Leader/Assistant Chris has been to all of our sessions and proved he is a multi-talented artist able to turn his hand to many different projects, with a particular flare for 3D work. Chris has over 20 years experience working in the knitwear industry, producing designs for well-known national and international clients such as Donna Karan, Fendi and Missoni. In addition he designs and makes his own personal collection of knitted accessories under the name ‘Chris Judge Design’.
