Half Term Teen Art Studio - Hassocks

For young artists who want space to explore their own ideas led by professional artist Ginny Baxter.

A relaxed 3-hour creative session for ages 11-16 with time to draw, paint, experiment and develop your own work with support from Ginny. Explore watercolour, acrylics, mixed media and sketchbooks, work at your own pace and get help with observation, proportion, composition, colour and developing your own artistic style.

No pressure. No copy-along project. Just time, materials and support to create something that feels like yours.

What to Bring:

Participants are very welcome to bring inspiration if they wish and we ask that they attend in clothes they are happy to get paint on. We will provide biscuits and participants are welcome to bring nut-free snacks.

Parking information:

Parking directly outside Age Concern is best suited for those with mobility issues and Blue Badge holders.

Additional parking is available behind the Sussex Grocer with a Mid Sussex parking disc. Discs can be purchased for £1 (cash) at the nearby newsagents and allow up to 3 hours of free parking.

Free parking is also available along Dale Avenue, past Downlands School.

Arrival details:

When you arrive at Age Concern, please come through the main doors and head all the way down the corridor to the rear of the building. We will be in the Wilson Room, which overlooks the community garden.

Cancellation policy

We understand that plans can change, so if you're unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible. For cancellations made within 48 hours of the start time, we’re unable to offer a refund, but we’ll be happy to arrange an alternative date, subject to availability. Unfortunately, for cancellations made within 24 hours of the start time, we’re unable to offer either a refund or a transfer.
