SEND & Additional Needs

At Love Art Studios, we want our sessions to be calm, welcoming and inclusive spaces where children and young people can enjoy being creative.

Our team has experience supporting children and young people with a wide range of additional needs, including being Autistic, PDA profiles, ADHD, anxiety and dyslexia. We know that a diagnosis doesn’t tell us everything about a child, so we always consider individual needs, strengths and circumstances.

After school and holiday clubs

Our clubs are generally calm and purposeful, with children busy creating. We can make reasonable adjustments and are very happy to discuss these with families before booking.

For children who are anxious about attending, we may be able to arrange a visit beforehand so they can see the space, meet us and know what to expect.

Our group clubs are not able to provide dedicated 1:1 support. Children attending independently need to be able to remain safely within the session space and follow essential health and safety instructions with the level of support available within a group.

If you’re unsure whether a Love Art club will be suitable for your child, please contact us before booking. We’d much rather have a conversation first and make sure the environment is right for them.

More individualised support

Our 1:1 interest led sessions have been running since March 2024, supporting children and young people who benefit from a more individualised approach.

This work is now delivered through our sister company, Enrich & Connect, which provides interest led support built around each young person’s strengths, interests and individual needs.

Sessions can be offered 1:1 or in small groups in the young person’s home. They are relationship based and low demand, with our mentors working at the young person’s pace and using their interests as a way to build connection, engagement and confidence.

We have clear Terms of Engagement in place so that families, professionals and mentors understand what we offer, the boundaries of our service and how we work safely.

Alternative Provision – launching Autumn 2026

Building on our experience of providing individualised, interest led support, Enrich & Connect is launching a small Alternative Provision in Autumn 2026.

Our Alternative Provision is designed for children and young people who benefit from a highly individualised, relationship-led approach. Activities are shaped around each young person’s interests, with a strong emphasis on emotional safety, connection, engagement and positive relationships.

Our provision is deliberately small, with places considered individually. Before accepting a referral, we take time to understand the young person’s needs and establish whether our environment, staffing and approach are the right fit.

We are an interest led provision, not a behaviour containment service. We are open and clear with families, schools and local authorities about what we can offer, the boundaries of our provision and the needs we can safely support.
